Focus. See nothing else. Hear nothing else. It’s only you and the goal you are about to achieve. That person in the third row screaming that you’re no good? Their voice is no more significant than the distant roar of traffic is to a sailor. This is the only game you’re in right now. Try to go through each day focusing on one game, one goal, at a time. Scoreboard watching – paying attention to too much at once – will only distract you. It clouds your judgment and slows your reaction time. Save tomorrow’s plans and yesterday’s failures for some other time. Right now, it’s all about this one goal. You see it, you can picture it. You know how to make it happen. It’s time to concentrate on that vision and carry it out.
